Grant process controlled access to information and data of the engineering department to sales and purchasing.

Target

Sales and purchasing should get read-only access to engineering data. When necessary a PDF-Document can be created out of the CAD-Data and sent via Email. Therefore an automated workflow is established to generate the PDF-Documents and prepare the sending by Email.

Result

Time and effort for internal communication between the different departments is reduced dramatically. Customers and Suppliers can get up-to-date engineering data and information without involving the engineering department. Through customized workflows it is assured that only released data can be accessed read-only.
